Our generational challenge: contribute and be pillars of support to Haitians
Special to IgbosForHaiti.org and USAfricaonline.com
More than 200,000 Haitians are projected to have died since the January 2010 earthquake in the land of those valiant people who stood with us in our time of need, battling violence and genocide as Igbo/Biafrans/eastern Nigerian, from 1966
to 1971. The first President of Haiti, the late Dr. Francois Duvalier reiterated this historical connection in his 1969 lucid declarative of diplomatic and anthropological affirmation of the rights of the Igbo/Biafra to self-determiantion. http://www.usafricaonline.com/haiti-igbo-biafra-duvalier-1969/
Thanks You for rising up to the challenge: contribute, share awareness and be pillars of support to Haitians through any credible network, especially this unified Igbo relief fund effort via IgbosForHaiti.org. The IgbosForHaiti.org website is established and digitally powered by Houston-based USAfrica, assessed by The New York Times as the largest and most influential African-owned, U.S.-based multimedia networks; working in conjunction with the team of professionals and leaders in our community.
We cannot, and should not stand by, or watch as hundreds of thousands of our ancestral folks, children, or any human being — for that matter — die from hunger and deprivations from the cruel impact of earthquake, hurricane, genocide or other forms of bigotry. It is our generational challenge. We will continue to do our part, and a little more!
